This program is a follow up to Ryan’s last series, and features moderate to high intensity cardio and strength training moves. Modifications are offered.

Benefits of cardio training for aging well

If you remember from our last series with Ryan, many guidelines for older adults recommend getting 150 minutes of moderate cardio exercise each week.

Besides running, biking, and climbing stairs, it's possible to get a full-body cardio workout right at home.

Whether you’re new to cardio or already a fan, it is important to find a way to fit cardio training into your healthy aging plan. Research shows that maintaining or increasing levels of activity after age 65 can improve your heart’s well-being and lower your risk of heart disease and stroke.

What to expect

This is a six week program that has two 25 minute classes each week that are designed to be repeated. Throughout the program, Ryan will guide you through a series of classes to increase your strength and cardiovascular health.

For the strength sections, you will have an option to use hand weights. If you want to add a challenge and don’t have weights at home, you can try using water bottles or detergent jugs as a substitute.
