Benefits of cardio training for aging well

Cardio activity, also known as aerobic or endurance activity, refers to physical activity that causes your heart to beat faster and therefore this kind of activity increases blood flow to your muscles and back to your lungs.

Many guidelines recommend getting 150 minutes of moderate cardio exercise each week.

Besides running, biking, and climbing stairs, it’s possible to get a full-body cardio workout right at home with Bold.

Whether you’re new to cardio or already a fan, it is important to find a way to fit cardio training into your healthy aging plan. Research shows that maintaining or increasing levels of activity after age 65 can improve your heart’s well-being and lower your risk of heart disease and stroke.

What to expect

This is a 6-week program that has 2 classes each week that are designed to be repeated. Throughout the program, Ryan guides you through a series of classes to increase your strength and cardiovascular health. These fast-paced classes have awesome music and are challenging and fun!

For the strength sections, you will have an option to use hand weights. If you want to add challenge and don’t have weights at home, you can try using water bottles or detergent jugs as a substitute. However, you can still reap benefits by following the exercises without any additional equipment.
