We are looking for people who have strong experience leading virtual fitness classes with excellent interpersonal skills, and envision a world where every aging adult has access to personalized, easy-to-follow online workouts<strong>.</strong>&nbsp; This is a <strong>1099 contract remote role</strong> and will report to our Exercise Programming &amp; Content Manager, Alicia Rios.&nbsp;</p> <p>As a key member of our Content and Programming team, here’s what you’ll do:</p> <p><strong>Key Outcomes:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and conduct virtual 20-60 minute exercise programs for Medicare members, with a focus on fall prevention, pain reduction, and improved mobility</li> <li>Join virtual classes 10 minutes prior to start and remain on the Zoom for up to 5 minutes after to ensure members have the opportunity to ask additional questions&nbsp;</li> <li>Continuously assess and modify exercise programs in real-time while also considering members' overall progress and feedback</li> <li>Be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues with Zoom that may occur during a live class</li> <li>During exercise programs, educate members on the importance of physical activity while staying current on the latest research and best practices in healthy aging and exercise prescriptions</li> </ul> <p><strong>The most important skills for the role are*:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of experience as a Certified Personal Trainer,&nbsp; Exercise Physiologist or equivalent higher education degree</li> <li><strong>3+ years </strong>of experience working with older adults and a clear understanding of the aging body</li> <li><strong>Communication</strong>: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage members</li> <li><strong>Technical</strong>: Strong experience leading virtual classes and fluency with Zoom in order to confidently troubleshoot technical issues live</li> <li><strong>Mission Driven</strong>: Showcases empathy and patience, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults through evidence-based practice</li> </ul> <p><em>*We know people from historically underrepresented communities are less likely to apply if they don’t meet all of the above criteria.
